Matariki Nights

Our client Eat, Drink, Play were looking for a meaningful way to support the city's arts and culinary sectors over the Matariki holiday weekend.

We developed Matariki Nights, a four-night festival celebrating local culture through food and performance. The festival featured live entertainment from prominent Māori artists, musicians, and performers including household names like Hollie Smith and the Mokos.

Local hospitality venues were invited to participate by hosting a musical performance or creating a dish inspired by the natural world.

The festival kicked off with live mural painting by Kiwi pop art legend Otis Frizzel. To drive awareness, engagement, and foot traffic, we rolled out a multi-channel promotional campaign including radio, street posters and digital ads.

Our custom artwork was displayed on bollards on Courtenay Place. Online, digital ads drove traffic to a dedicated campaign landing page.

The result? Multiple music events completely sold out and the live mural generated extensive press. Matariki Nights has now been officially established on as a permanent fixture on Eat, Drink, Play’s calendar.

YŌRA

YŌRA

YŌRA are the first frozen yoghurt store to open in Wellington in a decade. We needed to create a brand that felt unique to the city and generate hype around the store’s upcoming grand opening.
